These Red Sea Snail Shells are the most expensive shells we
buy. Average of two or three large shells per kilo. Latest raw
shell price was at about $50.00 to $60.00 per kilo. A very low
yield shell we have stopped producing shell blanks because they
are so expensive and only a small demand for them.
Red Sea Snail Nuts are made from the core of the snails shell.
part of each blank has the pearl like reflective quality like in
other MOP Blanks, while most of the blank is flat looking without
shine. It looks like a stone of some kind with greenish and/or
brownish grain pattern. Very unique and a good match to our Red
