My new “DRAGON” Pedal Steel Guitar
This is the new Dragon steel that was made for me by Mark Giles at Star
Guitars in Texas.
We sent them the Claro Walnut for the body. Most Steels are built with maple.
They sent us the body and neck. I inlaid the Fret Board on the neck with White MOP, Paua Abalone and Red Abalone Heart.
We took the body to our workshop in Viet Nam. There, our best inlay artist (Diep) did all the special inlays including the Dragon on the front apron and my Name Logo.
After all the inlay work was finished we sent the guitar back to Star
Guitars where Mark and his partner finished the instrument.
It is a real joy to play and to own.
It has 10 Strings, 4 pedals and 5 knee levers tuned to the standard
“Nashville E9th”... Plays & Sounds great.

The Stetson Guitar by luthier Craig Sullivan of Norwood, MA.
This guitar was fetured in Guitar Maker magazine.
He used some of our inlays, but most were his own design and work using our shell blanks.
You can find him on our “Local Luthiers Page”....

This is a guitar built by Duy Ngoc who is a luthier in Saigon.
We asked him to build this to our specs for my life long friend Karen who inspired me to play guitar.
When the guitar was almost finished we took it to our work shop where our artists did the inlay work.
On the back are two traditional vietnamese designs by our best man, Mr. Diep.

Guitar by Luthier John Osthoff
This is just one of the many guitars that Jonh builds each year.
Here he used our DePaule Butterfly & Flowers inlay set.
He also does very nice inlays of his own design.
Have a look at his nice web site;

Mandolin by Bill Pruitt of Madison, Indiana.
ab4op@yahoo.com
I liked the way Bill used our Short Mandolin vine, Split it in the
middle and put our Dove with Wreath in that place.
Cam Van designed Bill’s logo for this one.

Beautiful Archtop guitar by Luthier Jean-Pierre LaPlant.
He used our Celtic Horse Peg Head Inlay with Pale Red Abalone body
fill, and the 400 Style Fret Board inlay set together.
I also liked his very nice redish brown sunburst.

Bouzouki's designed by Andy Trakas.
We have been making inlays for Andy for the past few years.
He is planning on having a line of Bouzouki's and Bouzouki Inlays available soon.

This Mandolin was made by Xavier Baron of Reunion Island.
This was his first instrument and a nice job.
He designed the inlays and we cut them for him.

This guitar was made for Charlie Davis by Kevin Pollins.
He used some of our inlays and we had the fret board custom inlaid in our shop in Viet Nam.

Saycox Guitar using our Siminoff Banjo fret board inlay set in White and Gold MOP as well as his logo produced by DePaule supply with his drawings... Real nice workmanship!

Inlaid Guitar Peg Head by Daniel Stickel of British Columbia, Canada

These two pictures are examples of work by Don Taylor who lives in New Foundland, Canada. He is a part time luthier... Nice work!

Craig Lavin's Inlays;
This is the first time
I have put up so many pictures
of work by one person.
That should tell you what
I think about his style,
quality and art.
You really should visit
his site for inspiration.

Orpheum #3 Fret Board inlays with a Rosette inspired from a trip I'd had to Paracho, Mexico.
Bridge was inspired from a 16th century guitar I'd seen.
Photoshop helped to show Back & Front together.

These two photos are of the first "Modern Style" violin I made.
This was in 1975 or 76. I was a lot thinner back then.

Inlay by Bernard Arnest
Bernard is a high school student. This is his first inlay that he designed from a statue, then drew out on his computer and cut out by hand. I am very impressed and think her will become one of the best if he stays with it.
