Many new pictures not yet on this page are on our “Guitar Fret Inlays Traditional Page”.  These we will later re-scan so as to show better quality graphics on this page and that page too.  As you know many of those old banjo designs are used on Guitars as well as on Banjos.  I am in the process of adding many of the older designs that are less in demand, the reason being that I’d like to make them available to those of you who are duplicating the older banjos.

This set can be used for Guitar, Banjo, Mandolin or other instrument.
For Guitar the Vine in the middle goes from the 9th to the 12th fret.
For Banjo the vine should go from the 10th to the 12th fret.
The part from the 9th fret could be used on the resonator or arm rest?
This set is small enough to be placed on the Peghead and Fretboard of a Mandolin.
The extra left over leaves could be used on other parts of the mandolin such as the pick guard.
I think this could also look great on a Ukelele or Dulcimer Fretboard or Body.
The design was inspired by our customer in Japan, Banjo Maker Scott Zimmerman using our Japanese Maple Drawing as the basis.
